Clean VE alloytec upper manifold

I clean my throttle body on my non SIDI alloytec every few weeks, however I've never cleaned the upper manifold, should I just take it off and run some degreaser through it + a wash or is there an easier way? Like some sort of spray etc?

Could try some subaru upper engine cleaner available from subaru. Dont worry when smoke pours from the exhaust its meant to
