alloytec or sidi???

hey guys i have a just bought a ve omega, its a november 08 model the vin says its 09 model, anyway i just bought a airhammer intake and realised that my car has the maf intergrated into the airbox like a sidi so my questian is what motor do i have??

i was under the impression that all the MAF's are in the airbox ... sidi or alloytech ... but the sidi's only came out late 09 like july or something ... so that might help ... but also the sidi's all have sidi badging on the boot and under the side indicator ...

and this is the sidi maf








if ive used anyones photo and they dont want me to let me know ill remove it

well the second one looks like mine ... and i have the sidi so possibly check your engine number ... if you have an omega the sidi will be a 3.0 litre ... where as the alloytech will be a 3.6 and this should be reflected in your engine number somewhere

would having factory gas have anything to do with the different maf because the plates say ly7? which is alloytec

if you have factory gas you dont have an sidi ... they havent released them with factory gas ... i think it probably has something to do with the way the injectors work
but on another note my plate sais LLT and i have the 3.6 sidi ... but if its gas you have to have the alloytech
