Hi all,
I am having troubles diagnosing the power steering system in my VE Omega. I have bought two racks and neither has made any difference (hard to turn). I have also replaced the pump and run a bypass hose from the outlet of the rack to the return. Is there any variable speed controllers on them?. They have no sensors or electrical equipment. They seem discreet from pump to rack to cooler.
First one to tell me whats wrong (and it fixes it) ill send them $50. Have had down at mechanics and they said the pump was making max pressure. They said it was the racks. Surely i couldnt have 3 dead racks?. Is there any special way to bleed them?
I've had it of the ground turning it lock to lock, its harder to turn when the car is on, off the ground then when its off.
Found out panel beater had put the banjo bolts around the wrong way. All good now.
