Ok i know that some of you are going to be ########s but here it goes anyway ...
I am wanting to paint my brake calipers ... does anyone know of somewhere that you can get the paint for doing this, and is there a fairly wide selection of colours or just like 4 or 5
You'd probably just be able to clean/prep them, undercoat and paint with high temp paint.

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
fairly certain high-temp paint is self priming (going from my increasingly unreliable memory) - you can also pick up 'calliper paint' from Repco (used to be able to at least) - same stuff though, different can and probably 5 bucks more expensive!
I have found 3M make the best stuff, only 5 minutes between coats, rather than an hour plus from some that I have used. Nice glossy finish too, and no, they don't require primer, just make sure you prep the calipers right with a wire brush (or better still a wire brush attachment on your electric drill) and then some wax and grease remover, then just spray away

Also i have attached a photo of my car ... opinions on what colour?

lol yeah was taken on the phone and i had trouble gtting it all in cause there is a wall behind me
purple caliper paint
Thats what i got back when i asked the same question, Never got around to doing it though.
Set me back around $100 to get 2 G2 kits shipped from the states. Applied the 1st kit then sanded it back a couple of days later and then painted again with the 2nd kit.
G2 Brake Caliper Paint System Set
I used this on my brakes. If you have a look at the G2 site there are tonnes of colours and if you have a particular colour you want and you have a paint code, they will match it.
I was very lucky when I did mine as I had a mates 2nd set of SS caliper lying around. So I spent heaps of time prepping them with a wire brush for the end of the drill. I used prepsol first but found it didnt really clean the calipers. The wire brush was perfect. I tried a dremel one first but found it wore out too quickly. It was good for the tricker areas though.
Then I just painted them as per instructions. G2 is a two part system you can just brush on or you can get a preval sprayer and spray it on like an aerosol. Then when fully dried we took the brakes off mine and put the new painted ones on.
Thats a the best way
However, I recently changed the look of the car and needed to get rid of the orange. So, leaving the brakes on, I rubbed them back with a scotchbrite pad. Then I cleaned them with prepsol, masked up the entire area of the wheel with newspaper and masking tape and sprayed the calipers with silver VHT brake paint. Looks a treat. Not perfect but unless you are doing a full on inspection of my calipers you'd n ever know. I didnt go to too much effort because I am getting my new brakes soon
I'll post up some pics later of the stuff I have done
Use VHT Caliper paint. VHT is the best auto paint IMO
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
Don't remember it saying you needed too but then I never went that path so didn't research it. The how to video just shows them using one. The result would be better again than what I ended up with though.
+1 contrasting calliper colours look good - unless the car is black, I wouldn't be matching the body colour to the brake colour. Yellow would look hot - but a really rich yellow - I'm thinking mustang yellow or lambo diablo yellow - just the brightest, fullest yellow you can find - nothing half arsed. Black would work also. Red and green would just look like a christmas theme.
Sorry tin, dont agree with black. Kind of gets lost behind the wheel. Def agree with the yellow and mustard.
So Santa is driving a VE ....lol
