Totally agree not sure on a omega needs a more aggressive sv6 or SS with fog lights an bigger wheels.

Saying that you can make omega's look pretty good an if you like it enough go for it!

Sorry to say it, but personally I think it looks terrible.

Yeah, I was gonna say it looks like a ford. Good thing about an entry level model though, is there is plenty of room for upgrades and improvements.

I think the problem is that it's technically a track stripe (whatever that's worth) and it doesn't really work without an aggressive front end like the S-variants have - it would be the same issue with a calais. I know it's only a bit of plastic that is the (cosmetic) difference, but that's my thinking. The side stripe on it's own might work - probably not in white though - maybe a more subtle mid-tone grey or even a colour if you could carry the theme through the car - and not with mud flaps.

Thanks TinSnips much appreciated, that is some solid thinking :-) when i get my car back together i will see how it looks. Probs not a bad idea for a mid-tone colour. My front end no longer looks so stock

Thinking i may be able to get away with a grey/silver colour

yeah it could work if you tone it down - white is too harsh for a smooth body-style. I'd be wary of silver also. You might be able to pull off a subtle grey though. To have anything as harsh as white on black, the car needs to be aggressive to start with.

+1 with TinSnips on this one.

White is just too harsh, needs a subtle grey.
It will be nice to see how it turns out.

Thinking red is a little to far

    edit

I actually quite like the red without the bonnet stripe and with the red callipers

If I'm honest, I still really like the grey for that body shape - but it definitely needs SSV tail lights to work. No reason why you couldn't have red callipers with the grey stripe. Second choice would be the red stripe just down the side. Would need to be an S variant to pull off the bonnet strip.

yeah that works fine - to me, at least.

Just to throw a spanner in the works - if you really do want some colour on the car - have you thought about a red pin-stripe wrapped around the mid crease of the car? I'm thinking 5mm thick tops, but basically spanning from indicator grille to tail light - maybe across the bootlid as well? Just a thought. But that would obviously be instead of the grey stripes.

something like this (but to scale - and sans grey stripes)

But personally, I still like the grey.
