In the owners manual, it says that the 6 stacker CD system can display a number of modes, including a track name and name of CD on the display screen (if this info is stored on the CD). To toggle between the display modes, the manual says to "press the softkey (9) DISPLAY until the desired mode is displayed". softkey 9 is shown as any one of the 6 keys along the bottom of the display. It also says that "If no data is present, "no text" is displayed".
I can't figure out how to do this - all it will display is the track number and time. It won't display track title or even "no text" no matter what buttons I press. I've tried quite a few CDs, but no luck so far. Anyone else know how to set it up?
have you tried this with some mp3`s burnt to a cd,mine does no display and info from normal cds but does with an mp3 disc
Are these commercially pressed CDs or CDs that you've burnt yourself? If they're commercially pressed CDs there's not much you can do...however if they're CDs that you burn yourself, I bet if you include CD Text when you go to burn the CDs (iTunes allows you to do this, my guess is that most other programs will as well), it will show up.
