Anyone Know how to Rev the engine from under the bonnet !!!

Just wondering if anyone knows a trick to rev the engine of a VE SS from under the bonnet. I want to run some carbi cleaner though the intake but not being able to give the engine some revs makes it difficult. Obviously there is no throttle linkage to manually turn the throttle from under there.
Any ideas.

Why would you want to run cleaner through the air intake?
And no unless you had a tech 2 or something like that.

You run carbi cleaner through the intake to clean out the throttle, manifold, valves etc to clear out carbon deposits. Its called an Upper Engine clean. All dealers and mechanics do this.
It makes the engine run smoother and more efficient. THATS WHY !!!

recommend upper engine clean from subaru.. works alot harder... if that makes sense

Most people I know take the air intake off, spray the CC all around the TB and inside the intake manifold, refit the air intake and start it up. Give it some good revs and it should produce some smoke out the exhaust but clear reasonably quickly.

As far as I know the engine can not be reved from the engine bay like to old days. Got to love electronics...

Yeah Subaru upper engine cleaner is awesome.. Also good at removing oils and stains from surfaces like concrete!

IMO carby cleaner is alot like snake oil, does bugger all. It actually does a good job of making some cars stall and not start due to it's affect on sensors like afm's etc. If you're that worried about carbon build up then get a proper carbon clean done.
