    Default Bee sting antenna

    Hi All,
I know a few have been asking about bee sting ariels...

Before i posted it here, I bought one and tried it first.. Had this on my car for a few days now and no change to radio signal, bluetooth etc... Drove out to Inkerman (SA) yesterday and part of the journey is a black spot for phone signal and radio reception wasn't lost at all.

I made "an offer" which the guy accepted so you'll prob get these for $15 (inc free postage)

Mate this is exactly why i love this forum... this is awesome and i would have never known about it if not for you my friend

such a small investment for a much better look will compliment my calais v nicely i really feel like this guy could get away with charging alot more for these... i would still be buying it up to 30-40 dollars i think as it will look so much sleeker than the big aerial on there at the moment

thanks again for sharing mate ive only had the car for 3 weeks and didnt know these were available!

thanks for the offer guide..........only thing is that bluetooth and phone reception has nothing to do with this aerial its only for the radio

Couldn't be easier - unscrew the old one, and screw the new one in. Takes all of 10 seconds.

Thats the one I've got, looks great, a lot better than the OEM antenna, though radio reception is hopeless out of town...don't know how well you'd do with it at Alice Springs, though if you hardly listen to the radio (like me), you probably don't care too much.

Why pay $25, when you can get it for $15?
My offer was accepted just moments ago- thanks again OP.

bit of a tip guys, put a drop of lock tight on the thread, these small aerials are starting to become very attractive to the light finger brigade as a couple of mates have found out. i even found mine almost unscrewed one day at the shops. ive had mine for 3yrs and dont have any probs at all. there is some cheap asian shit starting to appear on ebay too. mine is german made and was partly developed for the VE but most should work as well as mine does.
im out of my mind at the moment...please leave a message

Loctite is a good idea - but just be warned - I remember one bloke on here who did that actually had the whole mount damaged because someone REALLY wanted that aerial that was locked in!

You can still unscrew loctite...just a bit harder. How about a dab of superglue on the thread

Just don't intend to ever take it off again...

i purchased the smart antenna from holden and ever since i have been using it my radio reception is consistently weak and breaking. today i put on the original antenna and had very good reception. has anyone else had these issues?
