Hi All,
I know a few have been asking about bee sting ariels...
Before i posted it here, I bought one and tried it first.. Had this on my car for a few days now and no change to radio signal, bluetooth etc... Drove out to Inkerman (SA) yesterday and part of the journey is a black spot for phone signal and radio reception wasn't lost at all.
I made "an offer" which the guy accepted so you'll prob get these for $15 (inc free postage)
VE 6cm Stub Bee Sting Antenna clearance sale | eBay
Yeah i have a carbon bee sting antenna and havent had a problem with it
Mate this is exactly why i love this forum... this is awesome and i would have never known about it if not for you my friend![]()
such a small investment for a much better look will compliment my calais v nicelyi really feel like this guy could get away with charging alot more for these... i would still be buying it up to 30-40 dollars i think as it will look so much sleeker than the big aerial on there at the moment
thanks again for sharing mate ive only had the car for 3 weeks and didnt know these were available!
Yeah I thought so .. Only mentioned as some where bitching about phones being accepted .. :-)
Couldn't be easier - unscrew the old one, and screw the new one in. Takes all of 10 seconds.

above listing has ended, but new listings here: VE 6cm Stub Bee Sting Antenna | eBay

Will these do the job as well?

Thats the one I've got, looks great, a lot better than the OEM antenna, though radio reception is hopeless out of town...don't know how well you'd do with it at Alice Springs, though if you hardly listen to the radio (like me), you probably don't care too much.

im out of my mind at the moment...please leave a message
Put an offer in of $14.00, fingers crossed?!
Cheers guys!!
EDIT: He sent back a counter offer, saying $15 posted is the best he can do.. So I bought one!

Loctite is a good idea - but just be warned - I remember one bloke on here who did that actually had the whole mount damaged because someone REALLY wanted that aerial that was locked in!
yeah just bought one too. Cheers OP.
good idea fellas, i'll be loctite-ing mine for sure. just hope I catch the unlucky prick that spends too much time trying to take it![]()
You can still unscrew loctite...just a bit harder. How about a dab of superglue on the thread
Just don't intend to ever take it off again...
Wow didn't realize they would be so popular! But this is what the forums all about - sharing info to benefit your fellow commie![]()
Also purchased mine today for $15![]()
I clicked on link but 2 came up - is the one you got from wynnum in Qld or Victoria?
Mine is on the way![]()
i purchased the smart antenna from holden and ever since i have been using it my radio reception is consistently weak and breaking. today i put on the original antenna and had very good reception. has anyone else had these issues?
