well done for buying it, be it your dad or you that bought it, but it sounds like your trying to brag about purchasing a ve commodore on your p's... its not that special haha P's on VE's are so common, myself included.

Yeah they probably do ignition, particularly sedans...the utes seem to hold a bit more value

actually jace looking at price comparisons of used VE utes and the equivelant sedans, utes hold their value a little better than sedans (besides the stock omega ute). i thought it has been the case for a while now

i think considering utes are 4-5k cheaper brand new i think utes hold their value better.. and its really just a preference thing.. if you need a family car or carry a few people usually you get a sedan, if u want a work car to carry tools but a nice weekend car u get a ute.. op not too bad.. u should lower it though..

Utes are defiantly holding there value better a quick search on the net will prove that....as for them going quicker.....that is also a possibility as they should be lighter than the sedan/wagon power to weight....simple physics so settle down jace75

I refer to my post on what p**ses you off etc.... Last time i checked this wasn't a dating website so your age is irrelevant to your car.

    Anway...

If it's yours, then well done.. a nice car at 17 is something to be proud of. If you haven't already, get rid of that fugly bonnet protector, it will cause more harm than good. Replace your rear lights with SSVs. Apart from that, nice motor, top colour (i have the SSV in Phantom)

your obviously an idiot, brand new a ute is 5 grand cheaper and withing a year or two you can sell it for up to 5 grand more than a sedan, come up with a hypothesis for that?

I lol'd so damn much @ this whole thread.
It's one thing to show off a car you busted your balls for.
It's another to brag about a car that you got financed because you can't afford it.

I paid cash for my '07 Lumina. I could have got a loan for a brand new SV6 or V6 Calais.
    I don't regret it for a second.
You're too young to be owing money.

In my opinion, utes will hold thier value more, its the main reason i didnt get one (couldnt afford it). Also my first car is a suped up ve so i dont think its very special or unique that you have a ve for your first car. Its a nice piece of kit though. Still got a long way to go if your going for a unique look. go with the ssv lights on both ends, get a hsv exhaust, extractors, walkinshaw cold air intake, better wheels, bee sting antennae. worked for me anyway

Yeah i was look at getting some DRL tail lights they look pretty nice, the exhaust is full GTS from the headers back, the extractor and cold air intake will be done when im allowed to have a car with over 200 kw as for the rims i like them just want to get it lowered and the bee sting is on its way. and Thanks

I'm FAR from being an accountant/financial advisor, but I doubt you'd be affording this @ the age of 17.
We're probably talking 20-25k$ for this bad boy, depending on the k's.
I'm assuming the Bank of Dad is open for business? And who's name is this insured in?
I pray for you, sir. This will go pear shaped, fast!

    Back on topic, sweet ride.
