funny sound when taking off

hey all, i have a 2010 SIDI SV6, i had a full pacemaker system put on about a month ago, when i take off pretty quick, i get a funny sound around near the cats i think, it sorta sounds like a blow off valve.. well around that.. if anyone could help me out even if i have to take it back to the exhaust place to get it fixed or looked at, cheers

take it back mate. from what you are describing you have an exhaust leak. my bet is the leak is up at the front though, not at the cats.

depends on how big the leak is, but any leak is going to rob you of back pressure so yes... a little loss in power could be expected.

just curious, but does can you hear the noise by revving the car while stationary?
if you can, get a mate to rev car while you listen for the noise from the outside (stick your head underneath or in the bonnet only if you trust your mate not to run it over ).
