Default Got my new VE Sv6 II Ute, what to do and what to expect?

I got my P's only a few months ago and i have had my new VE Sv6 II for a few weeks now.. LOVING IT!
Few things im wondering though, i've never owned a ute but it seems to feel the bumps a bit more, im guessing due to no weight in the back end? Just feels a touch rough from what im used to.. Either that or i may have broken something already from hooning! Just notched over 1,000 K's today and wondering what i should be doing either maintenance or cosmetic wise? And any other tips are very much appreciated. Sorry to ask such an over-used question but i love cars but only have general knowledge and not alot of experience around them. Also have filled up twice now, only getting 500k's to a tank before the low fuel warning comes on, also running premium, switch to E10 or stick with Premium?. Have heard that these are able to pull much much more K's than getting 12l average per 100?

I just did a trip to Melbourne and back from Sydney, i had cruise control the entire way on 108km/h and it was using 8.1Litres/100km. Around the city i get around 11L-12L/100km.

I dont find the ride rough at all, i actually find it smooth. Ive lowered mine and it still feels smooth however you can feel the bumps a little more.

I wouldnt be thrashing it too hard for the first few thousand.

1000k service? the inspection is 3000km.

500km from a tank is pretty good consumption.....well drive a V8 then you will see it's good consumption

When i drove from Sydney to Melbourne i think i was 100km away from Melb when i needed to refuel, so i got about 750km out of a tank from highway driving. Around town i get about 500km also.

Funny u say that because last time i went to melbourne, 3 people in the car. In a manuel HSV MANARO. V8. We went to melbourne and back at just about the same. about 800km. It might have been able to go futhur if we pushed it but didnt want to risk it.

Then on the way back, we thrashed it and had 2 stop 2.5 times. NOJOKE.

Then we also went in a VZ SV6 UTE - and i had to fill twice. On cruise control on about 120 aswell ( auto)

I was using E10 aswell, probably could have got more with Premium. I'll be going to QLD in a few months so ill try Premium and see how many km's i get then.

Ute has stiffer springs for load bearing I believe mate, mines the same.. Fuel consumption is normal, on freeways and that it drops heaps.

My best piece of advice, leave the traction control on... No matter how good a driver you could be, these things can be quite tail happy!
    Yo.

I managed melb-adelaide averaging around 6.5l, had a 1/4 of a tank left with one pit stop in a non SIDI on premium, after your cars run in fuel eco will improve quite abit.

Oh i forgot to mention not only was i using E10, i also had 600kg of weight in the back. So if i got 750km out of a tank on the freeway it wouldnt suprise me if it could do 850+ on Premium with no weight.
