This is a really noob question but can someone explain the difference between diff gears and lsd? i'm planning on 3.45 or 3.7. i'm assuming you cant just change the diff gears you'll have to buy the whole thing.

Also what diff you better suit an auto ve sv6?
LSD is the centre of the diff which controls how much the two axles are locked together then the diff gears are bolted to the diff centre/LSD.
so i'll need to buy the whole lsd like on the website and not just put in diff gears into the single spinnner to get both spinning?
Dude FFS get yourself a manual an familiarise yourself with your car.
Differential Drive gears (where the ratio bit comes in) are very different to differentiating gears (STD single spinner) and Limited slip differentials (Clutch or Cone type reduced spin methods).

This is the sort of stuff that happens when the kids get into Dads tool box over weekend.
Money will be spent, Dreams will be shattered, Lessons will be learned, and a wealth of information will be gained.
Buy the whole diff, that way you always have a replacement just in case you fry one down the strip.
Plus, it's a job you can handle yourself. Swapping a ve diff is quite easily done.
