Question Need advice on buying ss with wpp and other mods ex-factory.

    Hi,

This is a 2nd post from mod thread, thought this forum might give faster answer with more general ideas.

Did a test drive on SSV last week. This being the first V8 experience, it felt quite different to my 2L T coupe which is not worth mentioning in this forum. It had a fair go and I liked smooth handling but then over the week, I overlooked the fact I had 5 ppl sitting and the car didn't seem to care.

Now I want it so bad its not funny.

My plan was to get SS, drop leather and other luxuries, put walkinshaw power pack as stock exhaust and power figures are a bit dull, they shouldve round it up to 300kw.
Then reviews and internet mentions of wimpy suspension and brakes.

    1. Can these be tailored in dealership? Say drop all accessories and add redline editions brakes and suspension fit. I'm only genuinly asking as I've never bought a new car in my life. All my mates those who bought new cars drive BMW or Merc and I think their dealership work quite differently.
    2. Holden Satnav, are they worth it? Looked crap and touch function clumsy when I tried it.
    3. Do you think people with last names like Cong or Fu not suitable for V8 as they themselves think so.

    Your opinions are most appreciated.

Hi mate the standard power would be 270kw but with the wpp it would be 297kw which is pretty close to the 300kw,and yes Im sure that if you wanted to change things on the car that the dealer would be glad to do it as all they want to do is sell the car. What you would be looking at is the labour charge for doing it which might be a lot of $$$.but then on the other hand they could say no due to the fact that it would void the warranty, but I think its worth asking them to see what they say, good luck

tell the dealers you want the ssv with a hamburger with the lot from walkinshaw, brakes, blower, cam, headers, twin 3" bi modal, lowered, wheels and see if they will throw in some of the trim bits. if that is too much then leave out the blower

    Thanks for the advice,
Going to another dealer with hamburger with the lot idea this weekend. I think I'll leave out the charger...

I've managed to convince my wife that commodore is a family sedan. I can't blow this. She'd kill me with the price tag if i did maybe after a year or two hehehe.

    I will keep it posted.
