my single v6 exhaust has a flexable section before connection to cats but ssv v8 exhaust system are rigid no flex, Is there a reason?, and why is it there, What purpose does it serve on the standard VE V6 single system??
Says you are a mechanical engineer mate, shouldn't you know the answer to this?
I'm no mechanic, or engineer, but I would guess that the flex-pipe is there to reduce the stress/vibrations on the pipe when the engine is under load.
yes,yes may be i should have said thats besides reducing stress and vibrations on the system does it serve any other purpose or is that it ??
