Default help! just bought a VE V

just bought a VE V 06 commodore. im looking to do something things to it pretty much straight away. it has the single exhaust, and im just wondering if i can get the dual exhaust out the back? and also i want to lower it on superlows and install subs through a line out converter so where do i tap into the speaker wires from?

Firstly ill be doing the exhaust so if anyone could shed some light that would be good, i want the SS type with the dual exhausts with twin tips. some kits iv heard u can buy bolt on from cat back and allow this to happen, is that true? thanks

I think you can buy the dual outlet inserts to change the lower section the rear bumper to suit dual exhausts then you can get a CAT back 2nd hand dual one for a V6 off evil bay and swap the rear mufflers to SS ones without major dramas except maybe for 'drone' of this setup on a V6 but each to their own.

Mate you need to change the rear defuser to the sv6/ss ones which have the twin outlet. Personally to make the car look better id go the G8 defuser, but may be abit expensiver but usualy people with sv6/ss change their defuser to the G8 one.

    G8 DEFUSER : http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=ve...w=1024&bih=677
BTW THAT BLACK CAR IS "BONNERS" CAR

also the exhaust, you want the XFORCE 2.25 CATBACK SYSTEM.

then if you want more performance/louder you can get CATS+EXTRACTORS. but really dont need to

1: the straight through pipes ... have tried it and its very loud ... which is good ... but it is missing the tuned exhaust note and it drones like a mofo
2:if you want a twin exhaust system you will need to buy a new rear diffuser like hussy said ... aparently the g8 ones aren't a perfect fir and there is a little bit of modification to get one on so keep that in mind ... the sv6 one should just bolt on
3:i have the dual 2.25 x force catback system with quad tips on and it sounds good but it does temd to drone a little at certain speeds and revs ... i also have pacemaker extractors and hi flow cats on mine ...
4:if you have a single system you might need some extra hangers for the back part where they spread out

so that should some up everything ... i dont think there is much point in getting a standard ss exhaust because i think they will be to big ... i know the sv6 exhaust is already 2.25 ... but its not mandril bend ... so i hope thats helpfull

If you are going to put a ss/ssv/sv6 system on a omega you will also need

    2 Rubber Exhaust Mounts (22674119)
    1 Rear Exhaust bracket. (92066860)
1 Left Hand heat shield. (92219526)
1 Diff double exhaust hanger (92066857)
    SSV Lower bar inset (92173744)

Pick them up from your dealer or holmart

But yes they are in Melbourne so you can collect and save on postage and delay in delivery. Holmart are not associated with Holden other than they source excess parts etc from Holden & HSV.

the defusers are a little confusing by the sounds of things all SS/SV6/SSV diffusers fit after some modding, but as you don't wish to do that try this
