VE SV6 vs VE Calais V (
Hey guys,
Just wanted to get some opinions on something from you all, I currently have a 06 Ve Sv6, which i bought second hand last year, Recently i have learnt that the car had its Odometer rolled back by a really large amount from the car yard i bought it from, Anyway they have been rather good about the situation as they realize i can seriosly screw them over, but they have offered me a 2006 VE calais V with a SS spoiler, and im wondering what you guys think of them, I love my Sv6 and its body really does it for me, and im just so unsure about them... if i can have some opinons that would be great as im going to have another look at the calais in the morning.

They are probably rolling back the Calais right now
I'd just ask for my original money back or i'd go to the ACCC

I know its tempting to take them to ACCC, but all that can happen is you get your money back.
Then you still dont have a car.
Go the upgrade car... have a look at the comparisons on carsales, there's quite a bit of difference between the 2.
How do you know they haven't rolled back the KM's on the Calais?

obviously some sort of proof required to have the dodgy bastards own up to it.
maybe previous owner went to a dealership for a service and they had previous invoices on file with k's listed against car VIN. he's rocked up there for a 60,000 service- and theyve told him it was done 2 years ago.
very possible scenario.
its not the service that they'd look at as it could have done the 60,000km service when the car had only done 40,000km's, cause the service schedule goes by months aswell..
Hey guys, Sorry havent been on a computer in a few days, but baiscly it was actully through service history and Service teams at my local Holden ( Didnt buy it from there).... Turns out the Calais V that they were offering wasnt actually a Calais V it was just a standard Calais, And they tried to make it seem like it was a V, Oh well back to them looking for a replacement. Ive gotten to the stage where im just saying i want JUST a Sv6 with the red trim like mine has now.. Oh well.... not much i can do at the moment but if they dont hurry it up ill have to take further action..

Agreed, Im so over it... its just unfortunate, and the Current Sv6 is starting to die hardcore, and i need the car for work so im going to be majorly f**ked if it dies.

apart from the fact it really needs new tires ( mine are slipping like no tommorrow ) it has some really screwed up noises coming from the motor when driving, also like a clunking noise in my right hand front wheel, plus in take off its not the same as what it has been, Have checked oil water and alll the important easy untrained eye can do stuff, But its just concerning me now, Plus has some gear issues like you can be driving along and it will change gear ( its a auto ) and the whole car will pull back you acually feel the whole pull of the car.

actual k's are always listed on invoice. people can request any service they like, but actual k's are always recorded at dealership services.

OP if they are stuffing you around, start squeezing them harder. Doesnt sound like they are being as helpful as they could be. And just in case things get prickly, take pictures and document every conversation (like in a diary or something).

Yeah im pushing them alot harder now, I have had everything said in writting on the few occasions he has called me, i have quickly recorded the call just to be on the safe side.. Im not going to let them screw me over this time haha

Just thought id put a update on here just for those wondering, I have still got the wound back car, With my transmition starting to go now, Im getting really sick of them, they keep telling me they are looking for a car to get for me, but there taking soooooooo long that im almost at the stage of selling it back to them, Going to look at another one tommorrow. See how i go with that, Making sure that the service history checks out big time!

If i was you, I would be getting my money back through the ACCC, having their licence checked and possibly cancelled so they can't do something like this to the next guy as well. They've already pulled another dodgy on you saying it's a Calais V when it's only a Calais. Take legal action and get everything you can from it. It's BS and they can't behave like this.
