Hi All,
Got a friend with a VE SSV, running headers (4:1), hi flow cats etc and mild steel exhaust... he's just had the headers etc done but doesn't have mufflers.
He put his foot down the other day and the car almost blew my ear drumshe realised straight away that it's too much and will get defected for it so is looking for some x-force mufflers (mild steel)
Anyone know a rough idea of price for these?
Cheers
Toilet paper is cheaper and much more effective.
Got proof on that^^

So what would you suggest?
An ebay auction had a full mild steel xforce sys. sell yesterday for about $500 so should only set him back half that or so, just float on ebay or u might even get lucky calling up a few exhaust places which could have a second hand one floating around?
IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME.... STILL WAITING LOL
pacemaker make really good mufflers. Plenty of companies I'd choose over xforce.
Kuzman's Supercharged SV6 - MACE TUNED
I got xforce 2.5" catback on my cammed and CHE 4-into-1 SSV. It's loud when you nail it...
Why does every1 hate xforce significant power increase and a better tone. Then the standard sv6 exhaust

I for one love my xforce system too, they're not half as bad as people make them out to be.
I didn't say it's shit because it's cheap I said it's cheap AND shit which is true.

SLIKIWI has a x-force system too, ZERO regrets.
The old saying, you get what you pay for. Xforce systems are cheaper because the quality isn't there basically but they do the job and in some cases people prefer the sound better, as some in this thread do. Personally, after riding in a car with xforce i'd rather slam my tockley in every door in the house than put one on my car, just personal preference.![]()
Ive got a full X-force system on my ride, and am preety happy with it! Plus the stainless steel looks mint.
WARNING - If you value your life as much as I value my car, Dont F*#K with it.[/I]

A pair of Manta mufflers with dual tips will be $410 shipped to your door.
i like difilippo.
whilst workmanship is important, it also depends on the sound you are looking for... which comes down to personal opinion. i personally hate raspy tinny loud exhausts, and much prefer a quieter lower rumble/gurgle.
OP, best bet is to look at some You Tube vids of different exhaust muffler makes and decide from there. they can and do sound different in real life though, so it would be even better to hear one in person that the workshop has done to give you a great idea on what you could expect.
