    Default Charging battery

Being a new VE owner and noticing that the battery is in the boot.

I have a Ctek battery charger which I occassionally hook up to top up the battery and also use while I am on holidays.

Would it be ok for me to wire up the permanent connectors to the underbonnet jump points to charge the battery now?

Do you really need to top up the battery all the time?
If your battery and charging system are in good nick, is it really necessary

geez left my car sitting for 2 months, hit the key and it fired.

I would suggest a new batttery if it regulary needs topping up

I'm assuming if he's on holidays he's obviously using the battery while the car isn't on? Batteries don't exactly last forever like that... lol

My battery has decided to give up on life in the last couple of days. Does anyone know if the NRMA battery replacement service any good? Or what type of battery should I be looking at and where to get it from... I don't really know anything at all about batteries.

Every time i charge a battery a always take the earth of the battery so there is no possible way to burn out any electronics.
The way you are going to be doing it will have the battery still connected. I would not do it with any charger.
It is safer to do it with the earth off.

Disconnect the battery, and remove it from the car before going on holiday...

Yes, the worst that can happen is that you will waste electricity.

The battery doesn't like to run flat, but unless it's up on bricks, and never started - it definitely doesn't need continual charging.

You have a ctek charger, just hook it up to the battery and be done with it. No need to disconnect with those chargers either.
