    Default Upgrading MAF in alloytec

Time for the last few mods before the tune is done, i have seen a few aftermarket MAF's over in the states for the alloytec g8's. Just want to confirm with you guys (if anyone knows) that the entire ECU is the same from our alloytecs to there alloytecs. I am aware that the tune is different but i just want to know if it is compatible.

Here is the aftermarket MAF i am looking at.

    JET Performance 69127 - JET Powr-Flo Mass Airflow Sensors - Overview - SummitRacing.com

It states its compatible with the stock vehicles, just want to know if anyone has used these here before i go being a test dummy.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Bit of a spurious claim "These mass airflow sensors flow 41 percent more airflow then stock". I wouldn't bother sounds like complete bollox if you ask me. How can a sensor flow 41% better...it's a sensor not an intake method. Just looks like an adapter to me...same as the adapter supplied with many OTRs.

No mesh on it, might improve airflow a bit. I doubt by 41% though
    Is this it?

Flows 1%, 41% or 101% better - the real question is "Does the engine need the extra flow?". If it is getting all the air it needs at peak rpm then opening up the intake may slow air velocity and actually hurt performance

Why you would need a mafless tune unless you have some huge cam that pulses back up the intake thus confusing the maf is beyond me. All I can think of is making it in the category of blocking off the carbon cannister back in the old days.
