a guy is selling a 2010 ve sv6 SIDI

he said it has 210kw, is this true? as im only aloud 199kw on my p's
and its only done 5500kms and only wants 26500 for it

would be something wrong with it or is that a good price?

check with your state road authority mate, as they are all different.

the price isn't bad, but carsales shows quite a few of them at that price or less.... so not really a bargain. I'd be more worried about the fact it's only done 5500km in a year. Sure it could be legit, but i'd actually rather some of the cars listed here (2010 HOLDEN COMMODORE SV6 VE MY10 Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au) instead.... more k's but full dealer service history. That little km's tells me it's either been sitting in a workshop due to major problems, or it's legitimately been sitting in a driveway somewhere and only used on really short trips to the local shops. Either way, no thanks... both dont give me a good impression of being well looked after or wont give me issues later on.

You prob could but why bother? If its illegal you may as well get an ss and debadge that and drive that around. You would prob get the same penalty with either car if caught.

Yep, all V6 Commodores are P Plate ok.

Click here for specific list- but everything from Omega to SV6 (series 1 and 2) are ok for P platers.

As far as I knew in qld is that you could drive anything but turbos and v8 but turbo diesel is still allowed.

you have to love goverment thinking .....just flicked through the vicroads list. You cant drive a V8 Valiant Charger rated at 230hp yet you can drive an E49 Charger rated at 302hp. Logical......i think not.

buy it but get racv to send someone out to look at it 100 or 150 dollars for piece of mind if all is good buy it then give a nice service and ur ready to go n the law is for ps is no v8 or turbos so i wouldnt worry p.s alot of p platers drive sv6 coz there not allowed an ss
