H guys, just wandering if anyone owns a samsung galaxy or galaxy series 2 mobile and if so, has their has been any problems pairing it with the iq. Im interested in getting that phone, but ill look at an iphone if i have to, if anyone has had any probs.
cheers.
Thanks ricey. just looked at the link , but it doesnt have neither of those phones on their, unless they have them under a different name.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and own a Ss Series 2 2010 and have not had a single issue with pairing. Infact its so very easy to pair and awesome to use through the IQ system in terms of browsing the phone and the phone book and logs to make a call. i recommend the phone.
i dont have the iq. but i would def recommend the phone galaxy s2 that is
I have a Samsung Galaxy S and a Holden IQ system. Pairs up and works fine, but 9 times out of 10 it says "updating contacts" or something and never actaully gets there, so the phonebook does not work.
Other than the phonebook issue which is a major PITA, it works great. I think it actually worked better before the recent IQ "upgrade"....![]()
have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S II (a top phone) and no issues with pairing with the SSv's system
and once I turned on all the connections...everything is up to date and kept up to date
(in and out of the car)
Smitty...with the VE SSv SII Sportswagon, VK race car and...Kwaka ZX12R
Is that with the IQ system Smitty?
Thanks heaps guys for the responses. Looks like ill be getting the galaxy s2. cheers. Oh, and i havent had an iq upgrade as yet, so hopefully that doesnt stuff things up.![]()
Hi guys has any tried pairing with Series 1 commodore omega - i.e. one just before touchscreen came along??
Get a Samsung Omnia 7. Top phone and it runs WP7 not andriod
My dads Galaxy S pars up fine. Havent used it for extended periods, but I would assume there to be the same problems I have with my Desire HD. Occasionally it goes all screwy if you try use IQ to look through your contacts, or missed calls or something....I can't remember. I just do it from my phone.
Apparently there's an IQ update coming by the end of the year to sort some of this out.
Also ifyou have a definate compatibility problem, go to a holden dealer and get them to submit a form to holden to have it fixed at next iq system update.
Simplest way to have your problem resolved

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a problem or a solution to not being able to hang up on a call, either using the touchscreen or the button on the wheel.
Have set the display timeout on the phone (a Samsung Galaxy) to the max 30 minutes. Not sure if this will fix or not.
Have read the manual too may times!!
