Default VE gauge holders - take 2

So nobody was keen on pillar gauge holders. That's cool.

What about gauge holders in the centre of the dash.

    Let me know if interested

Id be keen for this if it fits in an omega series 1 as well. Looking at it i think it wud with removal of the scrceen. Depends on price tho as long as its reasonable.

I dont want to speculate on cost yet as I havent worked that with the supplier. But, if you used three Aeroforce scan gauges and plugged them into the OBD11 port (what I do), it would end up costing less than the JHP product below. The thing I like about these ones are the gauges face the driver and it is different to the HSV item

A bit more pricey but all genuine parts and gauges, loom, sender ect. No wiring just plug and play.

    Fair enough.
I just rather the factory look personally but each to their own.

    um....... why?

The product is being made in the states. I am simply gauging interest for him so he can see if the change in tooling is worth the effort. I thought you guys might like to see some other options I can provide for you. I know some people are keen.

Part will come with no gauges as that is a personal choice. But we could probably try and strike a deal with one of the manufacturers if we buy in bulk. I have spoken to Aeroforce and while it is way over the top, I can run three of their gauges which is what I would do.

I'm not sure if it fits the Omega or calais due to the different dash arrangement. I do know it will certainly fit a SSV or a E1 and E2 HSV if you were prepared to change some other pieces of trim as well. It basically works with the cars that have the full colour display head unit. I know the calais has one but the upper trim and lower trim are different also.

Sorry, still no word on price. They have only just started manufacture of the LHD ones in the states so may be a little while.

Dont worry, I will update when I know more.

Yeah I see what you see bonners. The guages are back to front - a mirror image. So are these made for LHD only or is there a RH Drive model also ? If so I am interested too.

That's the purpose of the thread. At present they have only been made in LHD. If can get enough interest they are prepared to make RHD

Hey Bonners, how many would you need for them to produce some?? then next question is, how long you reckon something like that would take to get here if they ended up doing it?
why dont you order a shit load and have an ebay store or something? I think there would be a big market for it if people knew it was out there.
