Oil filter and general maintenance question

hi, i was just wondering what oil i should use in a 2010 ve ute? i was thinking penrite hpr 5w-40, but thought people here might know better, also what filter should i use? i have always used ryco in my other car but i really dont know to much about it

anything else i should get/replace regularly or maintain like what fuel filter air filter etc

should be a maintenance schedule in the owners book.

Just grab genuine oil filters - particularly while it's under warranty. They're inexpensive and pretty good.

I use mobil 1 when i get mine seviced from my local holden.

no worries, i have seen a few posts recommending DEXOS1 ACDelco engine oil, because of a mysterious oil smell problem, i have never heard anything like it before

nothing wrong with penrite oil? or are their better alternatives out there?

Currently running Anglomoil 5w30 in mine. No complaints and no smell.

I got the oil vapor smell from Penrite, Valvoline and Castrol (didn't matter what viscosity). I still do not know what caused it only that filling it with DEXOS1 (acdelco) eliminated the smell and others have had similar results. I have also run Mobil1 which didn't give off the smell.
