What Oil?

Hi All,

Car is due for its 5,000k oil & filter change (non dealer). The garage i go to is tops but wondered if you can suggest any better oil to go in? There is a slight mild lifter noise on cold starts for about 5-10 seconds so something that may reduce it? (i've read here people putting in a better grade and getting some better results with this)

Hey mate i use royal purple 5w30 and mine doesnt have any noise on cold starts, even with a cam ect now it runs quite and well as smooth as a cammed v8 will run lol
