dexos1i ac delco engine oil

hi my name is tony i have a 1990 sv6 commodore which has done 50.000 kl i run the castrol engin oil is it safe to change over to the dexos1 ac delco engine oil.

umm, might want to check the year model of you commodore. I don't recal the SV6 being around then, SV6 was introduced in the VZ series.

Having said that. If your car is a VE SV6 then yes the DEXOS1 (which is a 5w30 fully synthetic oil) is fine to use. I and some others are using it in our SS's
