    Default SV6 with Lukey Catback?

Yes, another exhaust thread, haha. (I have searched already) Anyone have any thoughts on the Lukey catbacks for the non-sidi V6? I'm not sure whether to go to 2.25" or 2.5". And also stainless steel or mild steel?
P.S I already have Lukey straight through rear mufflers.

    Stainless is better.

I'd say go 2.25" cause the 2.5" is too big for the 6 and will drone but the standard system is already 2.25" so whats the point... I reckon just leave it as is with the rear mufflers.

Rear mufflers are really all you need to replace.
Read the other threads on V6 exhaust mods, there are HEAPS, doesn't matter what brand of exhaust, it's much the same for the 6s. Most people just change the rear mufflers, and modify the stock exhaust, so read what people have done.

I'm not real happy with the sound of the mufflers by themselves... That's why I'm going down the mid section route.

I don't like lukey mufflers in general. Always seem to sound hollow and weak to me. Maybe try hurricane or manta mufflers instead? Wouldn't bother changing the piping. Send Not_An_Abba_Fan a pm and ask the question. Really knows his stuff and is in your neck of the woods.

I got talked into trying Lukey mufflers on my car (by an exhaust place who is a dealer for them) and they lasted about a week before I got rid of them. They sounded retarded to me, made all wrong noises at wrong times... was kinda weird.

I switched over to what I wanted originally which was the Redbacks and they are miles better. So I'd recommend chaging brands before you fork out the money for a cat back.
