Hey guys,
Just got a new SSV ute and am wondering if there is a "secret" backdoor to extra settings on the IQ system. I know about engineering mode on the digital dash, but was wondering if there is something similar for the IQ.
The Equalizer on the sound system is quite basic and was hoping to crank the base up a bit more. Love the Subs once you crack the window, but as soon as the windows are all the way up the subs pretty much go silent. If you have a Series 2 SSV or similar then im sure you know what im talking about with that....
Anyone know any ways to improve the settings of the sound???
thanks
as far as i could find there's not i did a lot of research trying to turn on 4ch output in the ute. Everyone i asked said it cant be done and i have a uncle working for
holden. I ended up ripping out the subs and installing 6x9's in their place only a small mod to make them fit, changed over the 6.5inchs and splits with a set of
alpines put 10inch sub in ute box behind the seat and 1500w mono block and 1200w 4ch under the seats. Now sounds amazing with the windows up and down.
WOW! Sounds awesome mate, how much did all that set ya back? good idea changing the subs out for normal speakers, kind of annoying that all the sound comes from only in front of you. I think the system would all sound better with speakers behind too....to give the whole Surround sound feel. Although that said, i am pretty happy with the sound quality coming out of the stock system, would just love a bit more customizations available to play with it and dial it in to the sound I want.....A "sub woofer volume" dial would be perfect hahaha
You got any pics of the set up??
I though you could adjust the bass and treble on the IQ S2 or do you want to adjust it even more?
yeah you can adjust it, got the bass turned right up and it ONLY sounds good with the volume up and a window down a little. As soon as you close the window the subs go almost silent.....pretty annoying. Would love to be able to have the subs on that loud setting all the time.
Yes, would be nice if we can work out how to hack the IQ system - can't be that hard as it is Windoze CE operating system. I'm really surprised nobody here has figured it out yet!! I think the key is the USB port...
I think you can adjust the output of the subs down on the amp. I believe it is down behind the seat near the battery.
dont have the exact price as i had the half of the system from a previous set up, The line out conveter was $90 dont go cheap you get heaps of engine noise i tried the cheap one first lol the install was 120 got it done at wow sight n sound and had to get 6x9 spacers to fit were the subs were they were $40 as for the speakers there a year or 2 old now cant remember how much they were but for 2 amps, sub, box, 6x9 and 6.5 with splits you'd be looking around $2000 for half decent set up ill get some pics and put them up
