So I've got the OBD II reader and the Dashcommand software for my SV6 SIDI, but just inputing the setting for the vehicle, but I just can't find a number of them in the manual or with extensive google searchs. Would anyone happen to know them? Or where I would find out where/what they are?
Like
Volumetric Efficiency
MAF PID
MAP PID
Lambda (actual) PID
Lambda (commanded) PID
Curb weight
Frontal area
Max engine speed
Min engine speed
Thank you for your time.
I've been playing with Dashcommand for the last few weeks however only just got my WiFi OBDII interface. Have been unable to get the lambda to work with Dashcommand...might have to pay a bit more and get DashXL to get an actual AFR.
MAF PID is a constant PID so no need to worry.
MAP PID needs some extra jiggery to get it to work (will let you know)
Curb weight about 1750kg
Min RPM 600
Max RPM...depends on how much your into it
Don't worry about any of those other settings as long as you get Dashcommand to use Persistant PIDs and are Validating PIDs. It's not very intuitive software so you have to add PID command lines in a structured fashion.
If you go here Downloads - Palmer Performance Engineering, Inc. and get these CALC_PID_Reference.pdf and Vehicle_Settings.pdf
it may make it easier.
Cheers
Thank you Jarp, you are a life saver, can't believe I wasn't smart enough to check the software producers website >.<. But its great now. I got myself the PLX Kiwi Wifi unit. Damn fine little unit indeed.
Yeah I went with the Palmerperformance WiFi as got a copy off DASHXL with it + can use it hardwired as well. I'd be interested to know how many frames per second you are getting with the IPAD? I'm using a windows tablet. I've sorted a fairly secure mount set up if you'd like to see some pics will pop up?
Is good fun...can't believe the cat temps...500-700 degress ..smok'n. Will play with SCANXL today and let you know about the lambda.
cheers
what does this allow you guys to do??? just read all the sensors?
Yeah...nearly read all the sensors but can't get Lambda with SCANXL either that is annoying. I think you can clear some codes with the SCANXL aswell.
