Installing manifold insulators

Hey guys in the middle of installing the manifold insulators for SIDI and was wanting to know do I remove the original one or do I put them on top and just cut off the locating knobs on the original gasket. any help would be great

Yeah they are. Their just a different gasket to the old engine and I was just wondering whether it is able to stay or not. But thnx
