    Default Wasn't thinking!

Yesterday i went to 'Shave' the rear holden badge on my 06 commodore, and didnt realise that it would have to holes!!
I went to the panel beater today to get a quote on

    - Painting Mirror Caps
    - Painting Door Handles
    - Painting/Installation of Spoiler

    $500

which i thought was alright??.... then i asked about the two holes , he said $300!! which i thought was ridiculous . so ive decided to put the badge backon

what glue would be best to use ???
and is the quote for the painting ok?

    cheers

Ive been there and done that....
I did the exact same thing with my VE. Took the holden badge off and saw the holes and thought Oops.

The reason why its so expensive is because once the holes are filled, the boot needs to be resprayed.

I did this to my ye old falcon years ago, took the ford badge, and the fairmont ghia badge off, and the same thing happened.
Luckily the panel with the holes was rather small, and I fill the holes and respray the panel myself.
Even back then I was quoted around 300 - 400 dollars.

I wish manufacturers didnt do this sort of thing

Ohh, also your best bet is to buy a new badge off eBay.
Thats what I did, and it cost around $20 or so odd dollars.
To make you feel better, the new badge looked a million dollars compared to the old decrepit one I had on earlier

Don't use glue, use automotive double sided tape and you should be all good

Easiest to just buy a new badge - cost peanuts from holden parts and come already backed with trim tape - saves trimming it yourself.

or get it filled, and use a touch up pen to paint over the bog, or nail polish if your cheap, would look better then a badge missing and better then holes imo
