    Default ve omega gear change selector

    does the ve commodore gearbox have a gear selection unit or module attached to it somewhere and if so where is it. thanks

    I'm not sure that I understand your question.
    If you've a 2009+ Omega with 6-speed auto, then the selector says "PRND".
    If you push that to the left, it goes into "Sports Mode", and you can paddle it up and down.
    While you're doing that, the numbers 1 to 6 will come up on your dash, to tell you which gear you're actually in.
    Does that answer your question ? if not, please clarify ...

    no hes asking if its poissible to wire up a light that tells you the best time forchanging gears

    I always thought that was what the tacho told you.

    yeah i know but i mean like a light that goes at the right rpm. not saying i need one or want to use one ... looks rather ricey IMO :P but i think thats what he meant
