Hi All,
I have just had my 3000km safety check completed. The guys in the service department said they also did two software updates for the IQ system.
Since then i have had two issues and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing.
1. Bluetooth will no longer allow me to pair my blackberry. I get an error when trying to input my 4 digit code. I have tried deleting the phone from the system and re-pairing only to get the same issue. I have tried the old code and it tells me the code is incorrect. I have tried the old default 0000 approach to no avail.. I was avoiding doing a factory settings reset. But if that the only option I guess I can go that road.. Any suggestions?
2. IQ no longer recognises Audio files on my USB with the extension .m4a.. Files have been copied off of my mac onto usb. These songs used to play before the upgrade, but now they dont. I have changed the file extension to .mp3 on some of the songs as a test and they now play.. Which is great but im not prepared to sit down and convert over 200 song files.. There is a mix of .mp3 and .m4a files on the usb stick and i have never had an issue with them until now.. Maybe a little variation in sound level but they always were able to be played.. Im assuming anyone with an ipod or iphone would have the same file extensions when connecting up to IQ so it makes no sense to my why my files are no longer recognised???
thanks

got to paired devices on your phone clear/delete all vehicle bt pairings go to config then bluetooth then paired devices clear/delete your paired devices then make sure your blackberry is discoverable then press pair new device searching for bluetooth devices will appear then a list should come up of devices in the area press on your blackberry's device name then it will give u a code to put in put that in your phone when it prompts you then allow vehicle bt to access you phone and contacts also contacts will only work if they are saved on your phone memory not the sim memory
Thanks for the advice.. I have done all of what you have said already and still have the issue.. Im thinking i might have to do a factory restore for all settings and see if that clears things up.
wat if u try go the other way make the car bluetooth visable and search from your phone then pair from the phone then you put in the code on ya phone and then the same one on the car
good idea... It might be the way to go.. my blackberry is locked down tight as i work for a bank and it maybe that the security dictates the code coming from the phone.. Which is the way i got it to work in the first place, but it doesnt seem to be doing it this time because im doing it in reverse..
thanks again.
that did it!! thanks for your help..![]()
Not fixing the root cause (Sounds like someone at Holden decided to change the file compatibility without telling you..? But you could do a bulk extension change, if you're on a Mac grab an app called "Name Mangler", choose "set extension" from the menu and drag all the files in you want changed, it'll do it in a few seconds.
I use an iPod connected in my car and I haven't noticed any problems / changes to the way that works.
Hope this helps.
tis all good my pleasure to give ya some advice i get this at work alot so easy fixed
