Default What oi viscosityl to use in a LS2 with 170,000Klm's on the clock?

What oil viscosity should I be using in a LS2 that has 170,000Klm's on the clock I do a lot of highway Klm's as you can probably tell not worried about brands as I have a certain brand that I prefer, just the viscosity?

Probably a dumb question, but what have you been running, or have you just bought the car with those ks on it?

I've been running 5w30 since I got the car and never had any oil pressure issues but I've been thinking of putting some heavy / thicker oil in because of how many klm's it has now and and it sounds a little tappy in the mornings.
    I should add I do about 50 - 60,000Klm's a year.

If we weren't planning on another addition to the family in the next year (so time for house upgrade) I probably would! Lol

Depending on your driving style should guide you in what viscosity rating to use. I would stick to the recommended weight if there are no issue such as, oil leaks, excessive oil consumption etc. The 5w30, 10w30 and if your wanting to go a little thicker nothing over 10w40. My old VT SS S2 GEN3 always used 10w30 fully syn right up till I sold it. It has 145,000klm on it and never rattled, used oil or leaked oil.

    Cheers
