    Default xforce 2.25 FeedBack

So me and my uncle have just fitted a XFORCE 2.25 MILD STEEL catback system with high flow cats onto my ve 09 sv6. We didnt do the extractors today and we had no time left coz we done other things aswell.

I have had my rear mufflers off once before and 2 days ago i just took it off and started driving without it. Just so i no how much difference in power they will give me.

When i was buying it from the guy, (shop) he said that putting high flow cats will make my engine check light go on and so far ive driven it bit over 100kms now and still no check light.

Noise wise. Its not loud enough at idle(IMO) then when talking off it isnt extreamly loud but it does roar. It does drone but it basically doesnt drone compared to NO REAR MUFFLERS. The drone is bad but bareable. On highway i just chuck it into Sport Mode and the drone goes because of the high revs.

I like the fact that its not loud when your not booting it, you can hear your engine, you can hear ur mates, music and hear yourself think (compared to NO REAR MUFFLERS).
When you boot it, it does sound nice and loud.

And to those who have said it sounds like a V8! Well your all idiots, or you have never heard a V8 ! IT SOUNDS LIKE A CORROLLA COMPARED TO A V8! Not even joking, NOTHING LIKE A V8

    but i am happy overall.

Fitting wise, it was all simply, aslong as you have a hoist (we did) just the passenger seat cat was a bitch to take out. Took maybe an hour .and this is with 4 qualified men! Where as the driver side one only took 10 minutes lol

As for Power - when i first drove it, i did feel the difference but nothing that makes you go wow. While i was driving back home after doing 70KMS i did notice that it was getting more power. So maybe in a few days i will be able to feel the difference better?

Also alot of smoke is coming from the CAT but my uncle said tis normal and will do it for acouple days

Aniwaz guys thats my feedback on the xforce 2.25 exhaust. Just for the next person that wants to buy can have a nice read. Sorry if i wrote to much.

One Question though : Why hasnt my check engine light come on yet?

    Cheers

    Hussy

well this is a classic example of personal opinion......

I have a stainless stell 2.25" cat back x force and just had pacemaker headers fitted.

I dont claim mine sounds like a V8 but with my custom growler/airhammer intake and the exhaust setup i have now, it sounds pretty beefy for a 6. i have had a lot of people come up and say my car is a great sounding 6 and not tinny like most get when you put exhausts on. and the pacemakers just make it that much nicer.

as for the drone........ i cant say i get much drone at all. maybe because mine is a 6sp manual.... i dunno but i only get drone when going up a really steep hill, or carrying a load with trailer.
