engineering mode battery at 29% ??

had a flat batter this morning checked engineering mode this afternoon after driving home from work it said 29% charged 12.4V is it reliable are the readings usualy correct

yes and i dont work on cars and was wondering how accurate the read out is???.

If the battery was flat it will take a while to fully charge.

Test it with a multimeter?

I was always told the alternator is to top it up. If it's been dead flat you need to use a proper battery charger

I was told when i had my battery replaced it wasnt very accurate after having it replaced cant remember the reason. This was from bloke at holden
