Hey guys..just bought a VE Berlina....06 model....not the colour I wanted but all i could get at the time..its a pale blue....
was thinking of 19 inch dark grey/black 19's...and how do I go about getting coloured brake callipers.....it looks sweet in my opinion...was thinking yellow brake callipers......whats your thoughts guys...do you know the colour im talking about in regards to the car? not the nicest but I had no choice...
I have painted brake calipers 3 times now and done them in two different methods. The first way was with the calipers completely out of the car. If you are technically and mechanically minded I think this is the best way as you can get a better result with painting every little bit
The last times I have done it, I have done it with them on the car. Simply paper and masking tape. Mask of the entire area and put some paper on adjacent panels and it will be fine.
I used a proper brake paint first time round. It was called G2 and came from the states. I used it because I wanted a specific colour and the VHT paints etc didnt have the colour I wanted. If you are doing yellow, then you will be able to use the VHT as they do do a yellow. I have also seen brake paint kits at Bunnings.
The recent set I did was simply done with a can of Lime Green from Bunnings. I have had it on for a while and it looks great still. I was told it would probably last 6 months but considering I am getting big brakes I didnt care if thats all it lasted.
