Default Imapact of using aircon & revving on VE Engine

    Hi,

I recently bought brand new VE Series 1 commodore & was wondering if too much use of aircon impact on engine life.

I was also wondering will it have an impact on egine if car revs above 2000 RPM... I try to keep it below 2 to get better fuel economy but there is limit to what you can do .

    Pl advice.

    Ta

Drive it the same with air-con on or not. You will lose a fraction of power with it on, but nothing like a 1 litre engined vehicle.

lol - keeping it below 2000 rpm is overkill IMO and not necessary.

They are made to rev and love it. Do yourself and your car a favour and hit 6k once in a while

not using your AC will shorten it's lifespan - run it all year. Mine is never off.

Forcing your engine to run below 2000RPM all the time will shorten the life of your big end bearings.

Same. People think that air con only puts out cold air.
