    Default ve uni joint

    hi guys im new here

    i replaced this joint on the car because of vibration from the tailshaft, once i replaced it the car ran beautiful, til today which is only 3 weeks later the vibration has returned, does anyone know why? is there a stronger one i can buy?

    i have done a bit of research and have had no luck

    This is a weird problem.

    If replacing the insulator donut made a difference, then all I can think of is that your tailshaft balance is out (or thrown a weight) that working on the donut until it weakens.

    Who replaced the Uni joint? Because these tailshafts were designed with non replaceable joint If the new joint wasn't crimped in to keep it perfectly central theres a chance that could give you a balance issue.
    The other thing is the center sliding joint. The splines have been known to wear out with fairly low k's particularly on manual models and that can give a fair vibration in the driveline
