Default Perth folks, where to get SV6 lowered

    Hey Perth members,

well I am in my 1st ever Holden, recently had my VW Jetta T-boned and written off and picked up an ex demo series II SV6 with 500km on the clock.

Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea where in Perth I can get it lowered. Bearing in mind it's never going to be tracked and it's purley to minimise the gap between the tyre height and wheel arch if that makes sence. I have seen others post should cost around $500 to $600 to get done, I have made enquiries at one suspension place in Bayswater and was quoted a little over $1050 for approx a 40mm drop. Don't get me wrong I am not really being a tight arse hehe

Also been thinking about changing the stock speakers too as they seem very tinny and Alberts in Morley say approx $300 a pair and they will need the car for a day.

Apart from the above I am very pleased with the car, little bigger that we are used to though and it only just fits into the garage if I leave the tow hitch in place

Hope to be able to contribute to the forum over the coming months/years

    Cheers

    Tim...

Tech 9 Tyres in O'Connor if it's near you. They lower cars with king springs (any size you want) for ~$450.

    I doubt that includes shockies.

Does the $1050 price include shockies?

Thanks for the replies Yes for $1050 that included shocks. I donno would it be necessary to change the standard ones too ? I guess I will ask at a few more shops to see what the concensus is.

    Thanks again

Next mission will be a pair of rear mufflers that dont drone too much.. I honestly thought I was over modifying cars after spending a small fortune on the GTI

If you wanted to come for a drive to Bunbury I can lower it for a lot less than that. I will have to make a call in the morning to get a definite price.

As far as putting shocks on, it depends on how low your going, you may not need to.
