VE over starting!!??

Well I have a VE V v6 and when I start it, it will crank And start no worries except once the engines started the starter motor won't disengage from the flywheel until it's finished Its cycle, then it will disengage, and every now and then I get a check engine light... Then I turn it off and on and the engine lights gone, once it said check abs, check traction and visit workshop I am a mechanic and think it could need a software update., anyone had this issue?

Mine doesnt do the cranking thing, but when starting the car, I let accessories come on and wait for system check to finish and then start the car, once started I will sometimes get Check Engine/Traction/ABS all successive of eachother, dunno if thats normal though.

I think i read somwhere that VE's are supposed to have some kind of gizmo in the electrics that stops them from over cranking ?

That's consistant with a low circuit voltage issue. Nothing to worry about or you can upgrade the size of the battery (from 450ccA to 600ccA). I did this and don't get those error flashes anymore.

So if I plugged a scan tool in would I get like ecu under voltage?

what program or cable and where do you plug it? Also ve doesnt allow over cranking as well as over revs

Launch code reader and it starts but tries to still crank...
