Sv6 my09 MP3/CD player

Hi all, trying to figure out if the standard 1 disk cd player in the sv6 can play mp3's. ive tried making one and it says disk error check or something. Is there a way to burn the cd correctly or is it not an mp3 player?

According to redbook.com.au it doesn't specify next to your CD player that is plays MP3. If you look at the similar MY09 Berlina next to the CD player is says it does play MP3 (and I have a MY09 Berlina and it does). However is says your sound system will play MP3 via the AUX input.

we have a my10 sv6 that has the single cd player in it. Ours doesnt play mp3's so we use an ipod and connect it through the front aux input. Its alot cheaper to buy an ipod to play your mp3's than the alternative of getting the ssv head unit upgrade. Ive heard the sv6 six stacker head unit will play mp3's.

Make sure when you burn them, you have the option of "add more data later" turned off

ok sounds worth a try. what program are you using to burn your music to cd?

If you read the manual, (I have a MY9.5 sv6) it states that it doesn't play mp3's that's only in the berlina's and up models. Omega and the sv6 missed out. Bit sucky of holden, but guess they got the units cheap without mp3 support.
