    Default MY12 Perfect Blue Colour

    Hey All,

Anybody seen any real life pictures of the MY12 'Perfect Blue' colour? Holden uploaded this one onto their Facebook today (cropped it) from the ute muster, first real life pic I've seen. Doesn't look half bad!

Also noticed the SV6 does not have the chrome surrounds on the fog lamps (just the centre part), seems to be SS and up only for the foggies.

yeah, i think i agree.... voodoo is still the winner, 'perfect blue' is a little too dark (at least going by the above pic).

wonder how it looks in full sun. Voodoo seems to look way different depending on the light.

I agree i have a Voodoo blue ute and the metallic paint does look different in different light. Awesome colour i think. As far as Perfect Blue named after Peter Brock im sure it will be a good seller for Holden and only if they make it in limited numbers it might be worth getting.

2011 HOLDEN VE II COMMODORE SV6 SEDAN - Perfect Blue Automatic in Sydney City

First range of pics i have seen, looks the same as voodoo! Maybe slightly brighter, but the colour sure does shift with light and camera white balance settings….

And thats definitely MY12 as it has the chrome on the front...

Seems to be less metallic than voodoo - and it's good to see that Holden still can't colour-match their plastic to metal.

Saw a Perfect Blue SSV parked outside the Pub yesterday.

Sorry its not my colour. The blue is just a bit too grey (or dull). I don't know why they couldn't use the actual Brock blue.

The MY12 chrome trims look OK. A bit HSV Senator'ish.

The perfect blue looks like they've taken some overrun from the local sewerage treatment and added it to a nice blue paint batch.... Not good, I've seen it in the flesh and it makes a brand new car look old.

I was spun a story, which I don't know how true it is. However, according to a dealer here, Holden stopped providing voodoo and the dark metallic green colours because of - drum roll - the tsunami earlier this year. Apparantly the factory which makes those two colours got battered/wiped out.

Beats me how local spray painters/panel beaters are now going to be able to repair a crunched voodoo or green commodore...

Voodoo was the nicest colour holden ever did, let alone the nicest blue. I would have bought a new voodoo VE when due to replace my current VE. But they've left you with white, bright yellow, or 32 shades of sliver. Nice work, tools.

I've heard that Holden actually lost money on VooDoo because the paint cost more than they charged. I think Peter Perfect would look a lot better in person as you can't see the metallic sparkly in those pictures.

I could barely make out any metallic effect on the perfect blue I saw. And that was on a nice sunny day.

I wouldnt have thought paint was rocket science. Poor little naive me thought that we could produce it locally...
