Hey guys as the title says I was looking into getting sway bars. And I emailed my local pedders about sway bars and was told they can supply and fit for $720. So was just wondering if it was a good price. The size were 26 f & 22 r.
Cheers
Buy them and fit them elsewhere. Pedders sway bars shouldnt be more then 220 each depending if there adjustable, heavy duty. Pedders labour costs are too expensive.
12 year olds work at pedders, take it to someone with some knowledge not kids.
Speak to greg at GSL. He'll be able to supply you with whiteline bars to suit at a good price and you can get them installed pretty much anywhere.
Ok sounds like a plan. Just got to find somewhere in brissy to get them fitted
Yeah i agree i got a Front Adjustable Whiteline swaybar done by a Whiteline Specialist Pedders Store in Perth and after about 6 months and a few tarmac events heard a knocking sound the lower control arm on the drivers side came loose and i had to tighten it up myself.
So even the so called Specialist stores carnt do a good job either and my Front swaybar cost be around $500 bucks i think. Lesson Learnt
I spent a lot of time researching this ... Pedders sway bars are whiteline anyway ... But Pedders have a rep for bad work ... but as far as the away bars go the adjustable ones are awesome
2010 SIDI sv6 ... 180atw ... more to come
i found the same HSV085 was cheaper to buy mine for the VR fr and rr at Pedders they had them on the shelf whereas Whiteline told me they had to make them up...cost me $500 for 30mm fr and IRS 20mm rr with link rods supplied and fitted them myself...rear was a little pain in the ass but no real drama...
Ring Geoff Talbot at Pedders Slacks Creek and tell him Rhino sent you and you want a good price.
A mate of mine, David Pollard does sales at Moss St. Ring him and speak to him. If you are northside, I also know the branch manager at Lawnton. Ring and ask for Michael Green
The rear sway bar is really easy to fit. The front is not and requires a lot of the front end to be 'dismantled' to be installed,
I'm not sure if $720 supplied and installed is correct but I wouldn't be surprised.
Fit the rear bar yourself. Easy as to do with a few basic tools.
The front bar as said is not so easy to fit.
thanks for all the help guys, just have to make a few phone calls now, and im south side. As for the rear sway bar i was planning on doing it myself but when i get the front in i was just going to get them to throw the back in at the same time unless they want to charge me too much.
Rum I'm pretty sure you will need an alignment so best to do both together and then only one alignment
