    Default VE Cluch slipping

hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had any problems with a ve clutch slipping under load? Slapped it into 3rd the other day doing 100 and next thing i know its doing 5 1/2 thousand. The car has only done 35 thousand and hasnt been flogged much at all "still has stock tires". Any help would be great as the car is in the shop atm.

Mine had a faulty master cylinder that was causing it to slip at about that age. Replaced under warranty.

no clutch working fine when driving like a grandma, just when u give it the balls it slips like crazy. master cylinder seems to be working fine, i was kinda thinking something along the lines of a missaligned or crappy pressure plate.

Mine was only slipping when under heavier than average load. Replacing the master cylinder did fix the issue - though other issues meant that the clutch was replaced entirely not too long after.

How would a faulty master cylinder cause the clutch to slip under load?

Stock clutches are shit anyway. Get it under warranty if it's playing up.
Or, if you plan to work the thing more then bite the bullet and put a decent clutch in.

No idea. Asked the same question - Was just told by the warranty bloke the fault was with the master cylinder. Stopped slipping, so I shrugged it off as a fluke.

Yeah it makes sense but I just thought that happening would be very unlikely.

Yeah ive heared from a couple of people there shit, i want to know why. im not planning on doing any work to the car, just dont think its worth spending money on when i have a mach 1 in the shed. But then if the clutches are generaly shit, "it doesnt supprise me from the rest of the cars build quality and design" then i may have to put a better quality one in the car. Also chasing a warranty job, even though its 2 months out. charma hey.
