Will the VE CALAIS chrome bonnet strip fit on other VE models??

Hi everyone,

As the title states, Does anyone know if the front chrome strip on the bonnet of a VE CALAIS will fit on other VE models?

If yes, which models?

i dont see it being any different imo probably not vf.

The Calais Bumper is different to other models, in the sense that the Grill opening is bigger, and thus has a different grill to other models.

So to answer your question, the chrome strip will fit the bonnet no problems, but whether you can close the bonnet with a non calais grill is a different matter.

Here is a comparison between the Calais and an SV6

You will note the chrome extension will hit the Holden Badge on the SV6 Grill.
So you may have to loose or modify the grill to get it to work.

FYI it looks like the VEII models use the same size grills as the VE Calais Models.

I do believe someone on here has fitted that Chrome strip to an SS Ute, if I'm thinking of the right car, but the grille itself was different (customised).
I might be getting my cars mixed up, but I'm pretty sure you can make it work.
