Are you sure these are modified? What brand are they? Best bet would be to see if you could try before you buy.

If they are straight through with perforated pipe they'll probably be fine if they are good quality, what size are they?

They look custom made, I don't know of any aftermarket mufflers that use a 6" round resonator like that.

My first instinct would be that they would be fairly drony on a 6.

the reason your j pipes droned is because you probably had pipes tuned for the v8 and not the v6.they are two different lengths to cater for the different frequency of drone.on the v8 it is 29 inches(736mm) approx long for the j.the v6 are longer.

It would cost more than that to get some made, or even get the mufflers cut out of your rears and the resi's welded in.

I don't think so... redbacks from memory are straight through perforated pipe. These look like at least they will reduce the noise abit.

    those mufflers are SMALL!

it's hard to tell you 'how' they'll sound... but I can tell you that they will be loud and drone big time!

this is roughly the size they should be.... and even this set is aftermarket.

They look like stock VE SS mufflers? My after market mufflers are about half the size of those. They aren't straight through's though.
