Hey,first post after having a browse and a google of what i think my issue is with a 2011 S2 omega and i cant seem to find anything, so im wondering if you guys can help.
Ive been driving a brand new Series 2 omega for a couple of months now and recently ive been having some issues, its a company car and ive only done 10K on the odometer. I do alot of driving between newcastle and sydney and with some of the steep inclines on the F3 ive always noticed it struggles up hill and will go to about 3-4K RPM while trying to maintain 110KM but ive always heard they have sweet FA torque so put it down to that.
The other day comming home it was doing some very strange things, when going up an incline the norm was usually to go to 3-4K RPM it jumpped to 7K RPM and it was losing power taking my foot of the accelerator did nothing it just continued at 7K and losing speed. I had to shift it into that stupid sports mode and screw around with the gears before it would snap out of it and drive normally.
This happened at every incline and after a couple of times i just decided to do the whole trip in sports mode.
Is this a known issue or should i seriously get this looked at before my next trip on monday.
Any help or advice is welcomed.
Take it back to the dealer and get them to look at it. It wont be anything you will be able to fix.

Hey evlspcmk i had the same problem with my old VE SS when i when on a steep decline it reved more than usual and Holden had told me it was normal due to (something like ) the brakes dont get to hot when your braking or something like that they had even underlined a note from Holden to say it revs more than usual that was at least a year ago for me iam sure the service manager should know what your talking about but get it checked just incase. Let us know how you go
Cheers
I thought that was only in sports mode?
