I hear strange noises!

Noise number 1 is a sound almost like a phone ringing on vibrate..it sounds like it is coming from behind the centre of the console. It happens at odd times..like when I warm the car up before I move off and sometimes just after coming to a stop.

The sound happens twice and then repeats after about 45 seconds...but it does not happen all the time.

My best guess is it sounds like the air vents or something to do with the heating/ac is activating..it doesnt seem to be doing anything apart from making a noise..

Noise number 2 is a vibration that seems to come from the engine bay just near the driver..only comes on at about 100ks..not real loud but annoying after a while..thought I found it but still there..

As you may guess I dont like noises and rattles so if anyone has any ideas about these please make comment.

haha thats a good one...but naaa secret sound number one is defiantly a mechanical/electrical sound..

Where as sound number 2 is defiantly a rattle of some kind..

Plus..I always keep my earings in my "man bag"

I hear strange noises too, coincidently its straight after my wife has clocked me over the ear. Lets us know what the service agent says

Sound #1 sounds like what we call the frog, rebet rebet it goes & yes I think it is heater controls or vents

Try doing a HVAC door relearn.

Ign on but engine off, press and hold the rear demister button till you hear all the actuators moving.

They are fairly quiet so close all the doors and windows so you can hear them working.

Thanks for the info sound like it will be the culprit.

Any thoughts on sound number 2???..

I did read somewhere about a VE dash rattle that a lot of people seemed to get.
