Series 2 HVAC in Series 1

Hey Guys,

I've been doing a bit of searching around for custom head units for the VE, but all I can find is the ugly retro buttons or the touch screen.
I wanted to keep the stock VE controls, as they're smooth and don't need to take your eyes off the road to use them.
Then I came across the Series 2 interior, and noticed that the HVAC controls were seperate.

I'm yet to find someone who has ripped their interior out of their brand new commodore yet, but I was wondering if the HVAC controls are just solely for the air con, or is the unit a part of the iQ system.

I think all the exam study has made me go crazy

Im sure people have ripped VEII Interiors out.
The main problem is that there is no workshop manual information available (to the public at least) for VEII stuff.
So it is very difficult to compare wiring diagrams to see whats new, what has changed, and what is needed.
Then there is the whole chestnut of programming the Infotainment unit to get it to work.
Can it be done with a tech 2, will a Holden Dealership even attempt it....

It would be very interesting if someone had any of these answers..
