Rego and CTP for 2010 SV6 Ute

So my rego papers are here, $447 for the year. pretty standard.

did a quick couple of quotes for CTP.... $800-$900!!!!!????

this is my first ute, and i was not expecting this! they are more than sedans?

anyone with a sv6 ute that can shed some light on this expensive situation.

I think my CTP was around $600 (I know OUCH)
Comprehensive insurance for me (Calais V, V8) is around $900 a year
The Calais V with a V8 was $300 cheaper a year to insure than an SS :/

My old Falcon (1996 EFII Fairmont Ghia) was $700 a year comprehensive insurance.
Definitely shop around !!!!

No crashes and I'm 25 full licence.

So it does seem high? That was with NRMA. Ctp for my last car, falcon sedan, was about $500. Big difference!

its a commercial, so they are dearer, thats why i sold the ute as sa rego was through the roof
